Back from my morning walk/run. Chech, pmull, I played golf yesterday afternoon and the most amazing thing happened. Since I've lost 10 lbs. the last 2 weeks, I'm getting turned on the ball much better and hit my drives 10-15 yards longer than what I had been doing. Also, I have 2 sets of golf clubs. My car is in the shop with my regular set of clubs safely tucked away in the trunk so I used my other set yesterday. The putter is totally different than my usual putter. It's a "White Hot" Odyssey crescent putter and I never use it because I could never get the feel for it (like I could with any other putter). Yesterday I did. I only hit 5 greens in regulation but shot an 82. I had 31 putts and only one hole with a 3 putt. Playing again to morrow with the guys. Can't wait.

  for the golf. I owe you one for the weight loss. Losing the spare tire will help you turn on the ball. I have two putters that I alternate on a as needed basis. One is a Odyssey "White Hot" two ball putter and the other is a Odyssey Tri-Force Rossie.

I shot an 84 today. Tough course in Calera. It is where the Montevallo golf team plays. A good freind of my daughter dates a guy on the team. I got to play for free. He even gave me two sleeves of Titleist PRO V1 balls with the Montevallo logo. He shot a 73 from the tips. Check out this course.

I just talked with my son in Chapel Hill.  He said it's threatening, but no rain yet.  He and his LF went for a walk to enjoy the breeze.  It's low 80s there with 15k wind.

Thanks. I've seen Timberline from the road many times, but have never played it. I have a buddy from Louisville, Ky. that comes here to play golf occasionally. When he returns, he'll stop on his way to play that course. He says it's pretty good. That's a good idea about carrying 2 putters. When you play with one for a long time, you sometimes lose the feel and can get it back with another.

I went to an auction tonight.  It was just a local auction, local people, not much money.  Fun though.  Most everything sold for a few dollars: cedar chest for $10, 2 old bicycles for $5, etc.  I bought some Blackhawk tools for almost nothing.  Mostly just a fun time laughing at the people.
