Good morning all. Coffee cup full please.

Morning, Crisp.  Glad someone speaks twitter.
I rec'd a email yesterday with a video. It shows a bobcat type machine that picks up a delimbed log. It then cuts it off into fireplace size sections,--one at a time. Then it crams the cut piece into a 5 bladed splitter for firewood. Wow! 50 pieces of split wood in about 2 minutes.

How much does a machine like that cost?
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdXzaGFkWfU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdXzaGFkWfU</a>
I want one.
About $30K--that is for the attachment only. Hahn Machinery--Minnesota.

Load up a truck fast with that "wood processor"
Yeah.  Drop split wood directly into a dump bed if you worked it right.  Would save from coming back and loading the dump bed with a loader bucket, that scrapes up dirt and gravel off the landing floor. One less time to "handle" the wood.

There's a jo....eh....I'm going to just  Lips Sealed

Approximately $60K for the wood processor and Bob Cat. Lot of people have Bob Cats, and no work because no new homes are being built and no landscaping work.

There are so many trees down in Alabama from the April storms. Miles and miles of dead hardwood trees everywhere. From one side of this state to the other. Lot of firewood.

Folks here often order wood by the truck load (10' logs). They then spend the whole summer, maybe weekends, splitting the wood for winter. I could knock out the piles in 3 hours.

The only tree I have a problem with is the 100 year old "live oak" in my front yard. It constantly dumps leaves and acorns, but it's the only source of shade the house has, so I guess I'll leave it.

Coach Hank, I see Shades Valley is playing Hueytown tonight. I think Hueytown is rated # 1 in 5A. Ya'll have played a tough schedule.

We play Athens tonight. That is a rivalry game for us. They are a little down this year. The Decatur paper has picked us to win 35-21. They are normally one of the top 5A schools in the state. San Diego QB Phillip Rivers played there and his little brother signed with LSU after graduating last year.

Those young studs for Athens are drooling waiting for kickoff. They have them chained behind the school today to keep those bucks from tearing down the building. Before class they were outside doing forearm slams on buses and ripping radials off parked cars. The Alabama prison system lets them use the convict transport bus for away games. They wear amped up industrial shock collars to get them to stop hitting after a play is run. Hope this helps.

LOL: We are nothing like that. Our guys are in classes today. I bet they are more concerned about their date this weekend than the game.

I am looking forward to the Hueytown game tonight. The weather is just right for the first day of 'Fall'. At least I have enjoyed watching some good teams beat us so far this year. Haha!

My daughter went to McAdory from K -12. She was a cheerleader there for six years. Anyway, McAdory played Athens in the playoffs back in 1999. We traveled to Athens. Rivers was their QB and his dad was the coach. They edged us out by 2 points, 22-20 or 21-19, I think that's right. Rivers was tall and ran funny, in a straight up position. I would never guessed he had an NFL career in his future.

Thanks for the link!  The quality may be too good for my internet speed but there are other places I should be able to find it.
