GameDay up here today. If Doctor Lou stops by needing directions to the Mountainlair, he's going on one helluva ride.

 Laughing

Geezers, it's 52 here this morning.
Beaucoup chilly.

So pmull. How about Athens?

Easy game. 42-14 win. We played well. Athens is a little down this year. We're pretty good. We are 4-1 now. Our tough games remaining are Gadsden and Clay-Caulkville. We get Coach Hank Crisp's Shades Valley team next week.
Like having a bye week but you still get paid.

What do you expect. It's homecoming.  Wink
Can't wait to run into Hank with that 4-1-1. lol

Saw this a couple of days ago. Texas getting rid of "Last Meal" request for death row guys. Someone ordered about 40 things and didn't eat any of it-- one bad apple spoils it for everyone. LOL

I like the Texas prison system. They are hard on inmates. They know most inmates will be repeat offenders and get put back in jail upon release. Their goal is to make them want to go to another state because they do not want back in the Texas system.

Morning  Coffee

Gotta get moving this morning, early game today so that means I have have to start cooking earlier for a noon meal. Wish all of you could be there to enjoy. Roll Tide!!

Mornin' J. RTR!

You have some big plans for today?

Just got done with my morning run. Will meet my oldest daughter for breakfast this morning. I was gonna take WV's advice and drop $20 at the Waffle House, but figured I could get more food (and heartburn) at half the price at Golden Corral. Then off to Lowe's for some mole repellent and to the grocery store for today's snacks. The daughters & grandson will be here for the Bama game and, oh yeah, we got the in-game today as well for Ga & Ole Miss.

I get to eat and drink today!  Dancing Jumping Dancing

Diet (applause) aside, what's up with "mole repellant"?  It's overpriced.  If you have the burrows across your yard, put moth balls in the holes instead of poison.  It works faster and they'll abandon those burrows.  The repellant (if they eat it) will kill a few, but they will continue to occupy those burrows.  HTH.

Enjoy eating.

I've used Sweeney's before and poof they were gone. Haven't seen any sign of one for 3 months until yesterday. If you say moth balls will work, I'll try it. They're cheaper anyway.

BTW, the real issue is grubs (insect larvae).  That's why the moles appear seasonally.  They show up when the insects are in larval stage (fall and winter).  Even killing lots of moles might not deter others from burrowing in your yard too.  You can treat the yard for grubs, but it's hardly worth it.

From Wiki: "Moles are controlled with traps such as mole-catchers, smoke bombs, and poisons such as calcium carbide and strychnine, which is no longer available in Britain. The most common method now is Phostoxin or Talunex tablets. They contain aluminium phosphide and are inserted in the mole tunnels, where they turn into phosphine gas (not be confused with phosgene gas)."

BTW, the mothballs don't last very long; add more occasionally.

Or you could buy a cat.

The point of the Wiki message was that the most-effective treatments release gas into the burrows.  They are not eaten (as I said above).  HTH.
