Morning

Good morning to you all.  Anybody find any more details on the Booger's Trevon Reed?  Tigerdroppings (which I refuse to link) and elsewhere have rumors that he broke his collarbone at the end of the game Saturday.  The Boogers aren't confirming or denying.

Morning. First I've heard of it. Congrats on the impending precipitation, J.

Haven't seen that yet.  Will look around and see what I can find (I doubt it's on the news here).

212 injured, 3 "seriously".

I take the Beijing Subway all the time.  Transportation is a problem here.  The roads aren't designed for the amount of traffic that exists, and now that owning a car is required for "face", everybody has to have one.  They limit the number of new licenses and have restrictions on certain days but traffic is still a mess and there is no kind of traffic enforcement.  During the morning and evening rush hours on Subway Line 1, even with trains coming every two minutes, the trains are so packed it's nearly impossible to get on.  The buses seem less crowded recently than they used to be, but during rush hours and along the major roads at almost all times, they're still quite crowded.

I'm not a fan of crowds.  Maybe I should vacation in the Arctic instead of Beijing.  Hmm.

I'm not either and sometimes I still find it really hard to deal with.

I feel bad for my wife because we live on the campus where I teach but she has take Line 1 to work every morning.  I get free housing and utilities if I live here but no extra money if I don't, so living closer to her office would really hurt the budget.

Rumor in Boogerland that the Willie Lyles crap is about to hit the Boogs.  This came word-of-mouth from an Ole Miss higher up, not from an independent source.  But it sounded legit (he didn't wring his hands when he told me).

BTW, he also said Nutt's buyout is $6M, and despite lots of grumbling among the alumni, nobody has put up the money yet.  Apparently the OM moneybags are incarcerated (Scruggs).

There wasn't anything on the local sports report this morning about it.

Ole Miss is really in a pickle then and I hate that, I've been a fan of theirs since Doug Elmore played over there.

Trevon Reed was hurt during the FAU game; maybe just a rumor that it was a collarbone.  Here's confirmation that he was injured.
