Julio Jones had 11 catches for 127 yards today.  That's his second consecutive 100 yard game.

Did someone say Offensive Rookie of the Year?   Cool

I was very happy to be able to watch most of the game last night while at the wedding reception. Luckily, the reception was held at the outdoor bar at the Prattville Country Club, where they had a large screen TV right behind the bar. Pacle was full of barners, all pulling for Florida. They became very quiet in the 2nd quarter. Yours truly, however, had a field day. Bama scored during the middle of the best man's toast. Kudos for wifey being on her toes and recognizing that. She quickly covered my mouth with her hand so as not to have me upstage the best man with an enthusiastic "Touchdown Alabama!!!!!" The Neosporin should heal those bite marks in about a week or so. Wifey also came through by whisking me away from an obnoxious female barner who was behind me in the food line talking to her friend and extolling Bama fans for being fair weather fans. This encouraged me to snipe that even staying at a "Holiday Inn Express" wouldn't make her any smarter than the mentally retarded geranium seed that she was. I also casually mentioned, when she said she was so proud of Auburn beating USCe, that I hoped that one day she would recognize a non-butt-ugly game when she saw one, kind of like the IB game coming up where Bama will expose you barners for the pitifully inept team that you are. The bride & groom were feeling no pain, so they knew nothing of the barner carnage I left behind. Best wedding and reception I've ever been to. RTR!  Cool

Ah, 2, our little ambassador.  First, I'm very glad you did the right thing and still got to see the game.  And I'm pleased that you married up (outkicking your coverage seems a more appropriate phrase), and that she was there to protect you from yourself.  And thanks for leaving Bread with us while you were away; she seems to be settling in comfortably among the curmudgeons.

Just one bit of advice: don't talk to Boogs.  It is always unsatisfying, like speaking to the WalMart welcomers when they greet you.

Oh no, it makes it more fun to be combative, even if it is very easy to win such situations.

I didn't expect to sway you.  It's sporting to take down Boogs, even if hardly a challenge.  Smiley

BTW, I'm watching Stripes for the 100th time or so.  Please excuse any especially cynical or witty comments I make.

I'm watching the replay of the Bama game to see what all I missed. Upshaw just put all the MO on our side with the interception/TD.

Mark your calendars.  We're entering the 3-week portion of our schedule that should provide pleasure, enjoyment, and memories of wide-margin Bama victories.  Gone is that lingering doubt of this team's abilities.  Time for merriment and partying.  Enjoy the next few weeks.

"And good night.  It's been a fun weekend."

1. I couldn't be more proud to call you my Dad. Fact.
2. I won't tell "wifey" about this post...or that you called her "wifey"...or that I thought it was hi-friggin-larious.
Sidenote: My promised silence is not because I love you (although I certainly do), or because it would be in direct violation of code (which it would), but because I fear the Wrath of Mom. No shame in that - underestimating your adversary is a fool's mistake, and you didn't raise no fools  Cheesy

Good morning Mr. Chech! It's 44 outside here. It is 73 inside. I have not turned on heat, yet. I had new windows, doors, and siding installed on this house back in 2005, it helps maintain the temps.
