Good morning fellow Tide fans.

"Good morning, Crisp."
I turned on the heater this morning for the first time.  It's 42 outside; 66 inside.

Good morning Mr. Chech! It's 44 outside here. It is 73 inside. I have not turned on heat, yet. I had new windows, doors, and siding installed on this house back in 2005, it helps maintain the temps.

Sounds like you invested well.  My house is just 20 years old, and we have double-paned windows, brick, and good insulation.  I think our tree shade keeps the sun from warming the house as much as it used to.  Maybe I'll have one of those efficiency tests done; they're done by the power company occasionally.

I was very happy to be able to watch most of the game last night while at the wedding reception. Luckily, the reception was held at the outdoor bar at the Prattville Country Club, where they had a large screen TV right behind the bar. Pacle was full of barners, all pulling for Florida. They became very quiet in the 2nd quarter. Yours truly, however, had a field day. Bama scored during the middle of the best man's toast. Kudos for wifey being on her toes and recognizing that. She quickly covered my mouth with her hand so as not to have me upstage the best man with an enthusiastic "Touchdown Alabama!!!!!" The Neosporin should heal those bite marks in about a week or so. Wifey also came through by whisking me away from an obnoxious female barner who was behind me in the food line talking to her friend and extolling Bama fans for being fair weather fans. This encouraged me to snipe that even staying at a "Holiday Inn Express" wouldn't make her any smarter than the mentally retarded geranium seed that she was. I also casually mentioned, when she said she was so proud of Auburn beating USCe, that I hoped that one day she would recognize a non-butt-ugly game when she saw one, kind of like the IB game coming up where Bama will expose you barners for the pitifully inept team that you are. The bride & groom were feeling no pain, so they knew nothing of the barner carnage I left behind. Best wedding and reception I've ever been to. RTR!  Cool

1. I couldn't be more proud to call you my Dad. Fact.
2. I won't tell "wifey" about this post...or that you called her "wifey"...or that I thought it was hi-friggin-larious.
Sidenote: My promised silence is not because I love you (although I certainly do), or because it would be in direct violation of code (which it would), but because I fear the Wrath of Mom. No shame in that - underestimating your adversary is a fool's mistake, and you didn't raise no fools  Cheesy

Ha! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

She's a good child. I raised her well.  Cool

It's -40 outside and 87 inside. Someone must have left a window open again. Grrrrrrr!

Seriously, when I installed new windows, storm doors, a few years ago it was the best move I ever made. Switched from fuel oil heat to elecrtric at the same time. Made things like a new house except the same ol' people live here. Bless their hearts.

That would have been a good time to go ahead and install an air conditioner.
