Finally back home in P'cola. Heading to T-town for the game tomorrow. I'll try to give at least a brief report during the game. RTR!!!

Thanks, 2.  Safe travels.
Anyone else notice how peaceful it has...oh nevermind.

Go back and edit your picks.

Not a chance. I've been 5-5 the last 2 weeks. I'll either smoke you guys with a win, or the humor will be at my expense. Either way, I doubt a 5-5 outcome.
Laughing  It was directed at WV.  Feeling guilty??

I won a Whole Hog Sports T-shirt from Matt Jones website, The Slophouse, for predicting the closet score of the Alabama - Arkansas game. I predicted 38-10. The reason I won was because all the others picked Arkansas to win. There were 124 predictions.

The only other things that I can ever remember winning was some half and half pots at some bike rallies a few years ago and in 1979 a Johnny Paycheck album from WZZK FM 104.7.

I can go ahead and send you a T-shirt if you would like one. If so,  please reply with your name, mailing address and T-shirt size. Our sizes only go up to XL.

 Thanks,

"Good morning."

I drove home after the gun show ended (at 9PM) last night.  There was a head-on collision near Tupelo, so the police detoured us all east.  I followed a line of cars, hoping they knew where they were going.  At 9:45 the cars turned right (south) onto a dirt road.  I followed the caravan.  At about 10:00 I saw the cars ahead bunching up, and a cloud of dust and confused lighting appeared.  I slowed to a stop when I encountered two guys on 4-wheelers coming at me.  They looked bewildered.  It was backwoods Mississippi.  Cars were turning around in a field ahead, so I waited my turn and did the same.

We had all followed some woman to her house at the end of a dirt road.  Undecided  I stopped alongside the dirt road and plugged in the GPS.  The GPS voice (in Australian) said, "Recalculating", which she repeated a dozen times.  More cars bunched up in the darkness.  I managed to get around them and back onto the main road.  I drove east.  Finally I saw a sign, "Anderson Road", and GPS agreed that I should turn right (south).  I drove alone in the darkness for 15 minutes, then turned right (west) onto an access road for highway 6 and the route home.  I didn't get home until almost 11PM.

I walked in and LF said, "Have a good show?"

I hate driving at night.  This morning I go back to the show, but it ends at 5PM, not late like last night.  I'll be home (God willing) by kickoff.  Sigh.

Kangaroo Jack?  I listen to "Karen" (above).  She's a singer from Australia.  I had assumed the "Australian-English Karen" voice was just some old lady until I saw her on a morning show.

So what did the lady at the "dead end dirt road house" look like? I was kinda hoping for a more romantic ending than the gps angle. I can only imagine what the 4 wheeler guys were up to, and what went through their head as the line of traffic approached. Keep me posted on stuff like this.

BTW, "good morning".

LOL.  I think the guys were night hunting (poaching deer), and you're right, they probably panicked when a line of ~8-10 cars turned onto their road.

Romance at the end of the road?  She looked like 2 miles of dirt road.  I could have likely bought meth from her; no way I'd romance that wasted old bag.

Your mention of meth reminded me of a story I read in the Greenville, SC newspaper while I was there this week. Apparently the state of SC is trying to outlaw bath salts, the kind you can buy at most any store. Have you heard about this? Apparently if you ingest it it through snorting or injecting, you get a Cocaine -like high, with extra added bonuses of hallucinations and paranoia. I guess I've been out of law enforcement too long. This is the first I've heard of it.

Time to climb back into the car for that drive again.  No telling who might be along that road this morning.  MW, this one's for you.  Smiley

Forensic tire track expert? I threw one of the girl's sweaters in the dryer with my jeans and it ended up like that. Sad World's worst hooker (traffic count low)?  Whomever she's pissed at--I bet she changes her mind in another mile or two!
