"Good morning, Smitty."

Hope you survived last night's storms intact.

Woke up to a huge bang of thunder, checked the weather and it was all passed us, went to back to bed.

The way I am located geographically and topographically, the storms tend to split and go north and south of me. It's been a long time since we had a good thunderboomer here (knock on wood).

Yeah, I saw that.  Interesting.  I doubt it's his last snow; maybe any excuse for a party, eh?

I got the Snapper yesterday.  It is well designed.  I like the pull-start option it has (in case the battery croaks).  Otherwise, it's just a small riding mower.  I've got to decide if it's an adequate repaclement for my old one.  If the yard dries enough today I'll give it a workout and see how it performs.

Those snapper rear engines are built to last forever, if it's enough mower for you (ie wide enough), you're set.

Do you have a grease gun?  Hit those joints if you do, probably hasnt been done in forever. Snappers are one of the only mowers with grease fittings, take advantage of it.  If you keep it inside it'll be the last mower you need.

I'll have to adjust to the size; it's just 28" wide.  The old one was too big for the yard, but made it quick (40").  We have 5 acres, but only a small part is yard.  It's big enough, but I want to try it to be sure.

Thanks for the grease info.  I have a full garage of tools, including grease gun.  I hadn't noticed the fittings.  When I picked it up, the repair guy pointed out the necessary maintenance points, but not the grease.  It was stored in a garage, so it looks new.  Repair guy put on a new (rebuilt) carburetor; said it had set up for 2 years and the old one was shot.  There's not much else to be wrong.  Simple engine.

I also noticed you didn't respond to my suggestion that you seal your driveway after pressure cleaning.  You will be pleased with the results if you do.

It's really easy, you can walk around and spray it on with a Hudson sprayer.    Once your driveway is cracked to hell, it's a very expensive replacement.  Just sayin'

Still watching. It sounds like a cult or something when you say it out loud.

well if it's a cult I would join.  I love watching snow fall too, it's so quiet.  I wasn't making fun, more jealous.

What in the sam blazes is this? Would all the other chickens in the hood make fun of your chickens if you built that coop? Ghey chickens? Do ghey roosters/lesbian layers mean less eggs?
Do you get eggs, already colored for easter?

Hey WV, how do you feel about stump grinding?  I am thinking a stump grinder would be an excellent addition to my arsenal in the future, or do you think most people would prefer the stumps are dug up with the backhoe?

Maybe they just support epilepsy.  What do you have against epileptics?

I think the grinder is the most preferred, not as messy.
