Just the 2nd time since 1985 that Vegas has favored Vandy to beat the Vols. Last time: 2008. Vols won that one 20-10.

We may not control our own destiny like the top 2, but I actually think Bama has a better chance to be in the game than anybody at this point.  LSU has to beat Arkansas and UGA.  Oklahoma State has to beat Oklahoma.  If any one of those three games go our way, we are in.   This assumes we take care of our last 2 games, which we should handle easily.

Think of it this way:  for LSU to go they have to be 2-0 in those critical games.  Oklahoma State has to be 1-0.  We only have to be 1-2 in those games.

I agree SC!

I am glad we have already played Arkansas.

OK State's schedule is so weak. Almost lost to poor teams like TAM, Texas and Ka. State.

09/03/11 vs. Louisiana  Stillwater, OK W, 61-34
09/08/11 vs. Arizona  Stillwater, OK W, 37-14
09/17/11 at Tulsa  Tulsa, OK W, 59-33
09/24/11 at Texas A&M  College Station, TX W, 30-29
10/08/11 vs. Kansas  Stillwater, OK W, 70-28
10/15/11 at Texas  Austin, TX W, 38-26
10/22/11 at Missouri  Columbia, MO W, 45-24
10/29/11 vs. Baylor  Stillwater, OK W, 59-24
11/05/11 vs. Kansas State  Stillwater, OK W, 52-45
11/12/11 at Texas Tech  Lubbock, TX W, 66-6

11/18/11 at Iowa State  Ames, IA 7:00 p.m. CT
12/03/11 vs. Oklahoma  Stillwater, OK TBA
Another thing, I don't know why any school would want Tommy Tuberville as their coach. Texas Tech fired the best coach they have had.

I wonder if Mike Leach ends up in Oxford.

Doubtful.
My NOLA buddies want Leach at Tulane. They say they have the money.

Unfortunately, I don't think they have the drawing power, for Leach or recruits.

I don't know.  Leach might fit in at New Orleans.  I could see that (for a year or two).

That was their point. How well the profile of the coach would mesh with the profile of the city. With a high profile (offensive) coach show cased in the Superdome, the think they'll quickly go to the top of Conf. USA.  Jean Lafitte.

Since you mentioned Tulane, that reminded me of 1992. My family went to the Tulane game that year in NOLA at the Superdome. 3 months later we went there again.

Anyway, it was a week before the Tennessee game and we had fun down there.

If I remember right the score at half time was 0-0. Right before the half Tulane was deep in Alabama territory. They lined up to run a play.

The play Tulane ran was the fumblerooski!

I hadn't seen it before in person and hadn't seen it since.

Tulane failed because Bama's D was possibly the best ever, up until this year.

These guys knew how to run it but somehow they failed just like Tulane!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9REfzra9vE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9REfzra9vE</a>

Oh, the game against Tulane, Bama won 37-0 on the way to number 12. RTR!

Morning WV.  Coffee

I hope Chech is feeling better this morning. I'm headed to the hunting club to get some work done that should have happened two months ago, the gun season begins this Saturday. We've got a big rain event coming in tonight and will last through Wednesday per the weatherman so if I don't want to have to do this in the mud and slop, I've got to get busy.
