It's the correct term; many people say "loaning".  Loan is a noun. "To give or allow the use of temporarily on the condition that the same or its equivalent will be returned."
 Huh?
No as far as to a military museum is concerned?

Lending items, do you still pay for cost of the display is what I meant to ask.

Museums vary, and it's always negotiable.  The Smithsonian accepts only rare items, and does not accept contributions (bribes) for displays.  I worked there when I was in grad school, and saw many people leave with their feeling hurt (when they discovered that their items were fakes or not rare enough).

I donated some photos to the USS Houston Museum in Texas, and they paid me for them (rare photos of Marines aboard the Houston; it was sunk early in WWII).

I'd guess the Navy Museum would welcome the items and tell you directly whether they would be displayed and when.  If you lend them, and they accept, you can be certain that they intend to display them immediately (I'd think).  You should discuss donating them for a value (essentially selling them).

If they are rare and desirable items, you will not be expected to make a donation to ensure display.  Visit and discuss it with the curator.

Nissan Heisman Watch MFBATR is leading. This tweeted around this morning.

This is shockingly good news, if accurate.  ESPN has essentially written off TR, and they suggest that most people have fallen for the clever marketing of the name "RG3".

Thanks  CAT. I knew you would know with your experience.

He had already filled out the forms and was ready to give items to them.

All of items are still boxed together with forms.

He learned to fly down in Pensacola, trained at "Whiting Field".

This is the site we've all been going to and voting for Trent. If I'm not mistaken, this will only represent one vote for the Heisman.

Well we did our part.

Ingram makes it two votes.

No telling what the 900 sports writers and past winners did.

I bet scam newton didn't vote for MFBATR!

I bet he didn't either. I bet he voted for RGIII. He's as arrogant as $cam. After the Baylor-Texas game the reporter asked him what he thought about Baylor's performance. He arrogantly responded "I think Baylor just won their first Heisman". If I was a voter, I would not vote for him just because of that statement.

I saw that or a replay of it.

I don't know how MFBATR leading leading after Iron Bowl.

Look at the level of competition, RGIII went against.

Ed Zachary! Look at the weak azzed defenses he's gone up against. I'm not saying the guy isn't talented, because he is, but they lost 3 games and he's had no impact as far as putting Baylor in a position to get a NC. TR, on the other hand, has gone up against a stacked box every game from the top defensive conference in the country and has put Bama squarely in the NC picture. Just sayin'........

There was 4 minutes left in the OK OKSU game before OK got a quarterback hurry on Weeden.

Not a sack but their first hurry. 56 minutes into game.

Mornin' fellas and happy Friday eve.  Anyone else gotta hit the stores this weekend to do Christmas shopping?  I'd almost rather work an extra day.

This is why I got married. So I would have someone to do the Christmas shopping. I went on a Black Friday with the woman one time (we had just started dating, so I thought I would try to impress her). NEVER AGAIN. We went to the Galleria in Birmingham and I thought I would never see my family again.

GM, by the way.

Anybody hear anything about an interview with Heath Evans about CNS while he was with the Dolphins? Evidently he was asked to relate an unflattering story about coach, and Evans immediately started talking about some incident with an OL who was convulsing and throwing up after two-a-days. Evans said CNS showed little concern. They played the Evans interview on the morning show on WNSP here in Mobile this morning.

Oh, Wifey does all the Christmas shopping, EXCEPT FOR HERSELF. Thing is, CB, she always gets me everything under the son, so I have to try and keep up, which I usually fall short. I got her good the Christmas before last when I was still working in SC. I came home in what she thought was a rental car. I actually bought her a new car in SC and drove it home to P'cola for Christmas. The car sales lady put a rental car sticker on the key chain to help me fool her. It was a red Honda CRV. Wifey said she liked my rental car and when the time was right, could we go car shopping for her and look at the CRV's, possibly in February? I said sure. Inside, I was jumping up and down knowing she liked the car. Anyway, Christmas morning, she opened a jewelry box, obviously thinking that once again I bought her a ring or necklace. The car key was in it. The expression on her face was priceless. I remind her that I am in the lead for good Christmas stuff at least for a few years. She now suspects I've done bad things during the course of our marriage because I lied so well. Sometimes you just can't win.
