Schrade Cutlery Company switchblade.  Pattern #1553 ¾.  Greenbone scales (handles).  Probably 1930s.  Fully functional, but carried and used.  Especially handy when eating ribs.

Amen, bro. Not too thrilled with the Mobile restaurant. Just doesn't taste the same as the one in T-town.

As long as Chech doesn't leave for awhile today, I think things will run smoothly. ::snicker::

I'm glad you are getting some good ribs. I bet good BBQ is hard to find in WV. We are fortunate in Decatur. We have a great BBQ joint called Big Bob Gibsons. They travel to all the big BBQ contests and have an impressive trophy case. My family is coming to our house on Christmas Eve and I have ordered our turkey from them.

It is hard to find Ace#1 BBQ in WV. IDK why. We don't have very many Black people? But we love fire, and meat, and all the rest seems right up our alley. BTW, every state claims their BBQ is Ace#1. I'm pretty sure the State of Texas doesn't know the difference between BBQ and grilling. Another thing, I'm not sure Dreamland is still on my top 10-- but I'd have to eat in the original to decide.

I haven't had a bite of anything today.  All this rib and BBQ talk is brutal.  I'm tempted to make the drive over to Decatur and pick up some Big Bobs.

pmull, the project I work on requires some folks to come down from Boston very regularly.  They've started making Big Bobs one of their stops every trip down now.  Big Bobs for BBQ and Greenbrier for catfish and hushpuppies.

I like Greenbrier too. When we have architects or contactors come to town to tour our plant we take them to Big Bobs for lunch and Simp McGee's for dinner. Another good BBQ place in Decatur is BB Perrins. It was founded by former Bama player Benny Perrin. He sold it a few years ago.

We are grilling chicken tonight. It will be OK but I have a taste for ribs now.  Sad

BBQ is different every where you go. I travel to Texas a lot and they are proud of their BBQ. The beef brisket is pretty good. They do not even know what pork BBQ is. I agree with you about the BBQ vs grilling. Texas does not slow cook anything.
