The woman tells me what to buy for the kids. Especially the girls. She hands me the details (size, price, color) and I phone it in. She wraps. But then she says things all through Christmas like, "Daddy always gets you the coolest stuff" or "Daddy always buys the nicest gifts."  I tell her, "I don't have a clue,-- they see right through that."  She counters, "No, maybe they just want to believe" Ah, the miracles of Christmas.  Anyway, it'll be the miracle of Christmas if I run into the Victoria Secret guy and don't just shoot him. The stuff they want our Daughters to wear. He'll be picking plum pudding out of his...and 12 drummers drumming!

I know what you mean about the gift buying.  I usually find something special for LF (internet), and if I see the perfect gift during the year for someone else I buy it.  But I don't go to malls, and I haven't been shopping (unless gun shows count).

Put a bushy tail on the Victoria Secret cretin, and I'll solve your problem.  May I use the Ruger 1022?

We'll run him from  neighborhood to neighborhood all across the South during his Christmas break.

I have a high school friend I trust that does well in the Jewelry business. I think his Dad left him 2 stores and he still has 2 stores-- that makes him King in WV. Anyway, I usually get him to find something antique or really cool unusual and put a fair price on it. She has a tennis bracelet with a clasp broken that she had fixed somewhere (I kid you not, I think South Carolina) and it broke again, almost immediately. So my big idea is to gather all that loot up and have him design originals out of the spare parts. I'll let you know.

It's still early. There's nothing stopping me from going 3-32.

I hope everyone survived the bad weather here in the South yesterday. It was pretty nasty here. Between the rain we received Tuesday and yesterday's rain, we received about 5 inches of well needed rain.

I was coming back from Birmingham yesterday and pulled in to a rest area south of Evergreen. The car I parked next to had a SC tag and the tag frame mentioned Conway, SC. A lady got out of that car the same time I got out of mine. I asked her if her husband was in the car parts business. She said "excuse me". I chuckled and said "never mind". Good times.
