GM everyone.  Back at work after a 4 day weekend.  Dead quiet here so far.

GM HL. My guess is it will be dead quiet all week. I am off the rest of the week.  I keep the cell phone handy and check email every now and then. The weather is not cooperating with my plans. I was hoping to get in a round or two of golf this week.

Somehow I got nominated as acting manager for my department this week.  Only about half the folks are here, but I've already done more managing this morning than I expected to do all week.

I am sure you are a very capable manager but I fell the need to give you a few tips anyway. Don't fire anyone during the holidays that could cause morale problems. Give yourself a nice raise. I feel like you deserve it.
