This site has good ideas: LINK

I like the idea of using a metaphor or a hybrid name.

Quote
* Descriptive Hybrid Names — These names combine an industry descriptor word and marry it with an evocative word. Examples include companies such as Emisstar, consultants in the emissions control industry. Big brand examples include JetBlue and CarMax. If you use this approach, just be sure that your industry descriptor is one that won’t change over time.

* Metaphors  — Since the proverbial “picture paints a thousand words”, then metaphors are a great way to convey multiple company attributes with a single image. FourBridges Capital, for example, expresses this investment banking firm’s ability to “bridge the gap” and “connect business with capital,” etc.  With four major partners and four major bridges in Chattanooga, TN, the story gains even more traction.

"Smith GeoConsulting"

"Smith ConsultingBarFightingBabeSmooching"

smith geologic is available.

smithgeoconsulting and smithgeoconsultants are available.

My impression (not to insult, just thinking) is that the words "geologic" or "geological" work for scientific consulting, but may turn off potential patrons who are searching for bush hogging or land work.  The average land owner isn't a fan of science.  That's why I tried "GeoConsulting".

I dont disagree, they will be somewhat separate entities...  But I can hear 'Peanut' say "geo what??, boy what you talk about"

Another appealing name, which works successfully for many businesses, is a hybrid that uses a personal name with the business.  People select a family member for the company name:

"Mary's Little Lamb Shearing"

I'd definitely start with "Smith".  It's memorable.
Maybe try some family names (women's names are very appealing to patrons), especially if they are puns or metaphors.  Got anything that works with Consulting or Consultants as a hybrid?

There's a good buffet restaurant just across from Singing River Hospital (and a bit farther west).  Red building; forgot the name.

Of course, in Mobile?  No idea.  Eat the rag doll.
