Mike says "Howsurmomma'n'em?" JK. Opp is a depressed little town. Since the mill shut down several years ago, Opp has been a dying town. Most people that live there work in Andalusia or Enterprise or sell Meth.

The catch: Black Grouper, Hogfish, Dog Snapper, and Crevalle Jack.

do they keep those down there ? are they the same as the ones we catch here ?
it's hard to tell from the picture / crappy monitor
we call ours Jack Crevalle but nobody eats them here .
I know in other areas around the GOM some people say they grill them ...
taste like chicken ?

Yep, same fish.  I don't care for them, but some here eat them.  Usually served the day they're caught.

Two of the guides and I went hand-line fishing (called "drop-line fishing in Belize).  We caught a mess of snapper, porgies, and such.  Fresh fish tonight (and for breakfast).

We've caught many Jack Crevalle. What a fight they put up. Large ones take almost an 1/2 hour to land. We've always released them.

Honestly, this has been the biggest girlie-man winter in my lifetime. Ski resort here hanging on by a thread (so the rest of the med-atlantic resorts are probably closed). No way will I run low on wood but I have my eye on the bus shelter down by the highway if I do run low.
