"Good morning."

Anybody willing to return to the 'kissin' your sister' days?
"Morning, Cat"

Nope. Tiebreaker/OT system may need tweaking but still better than kissing Sis!
I enjoyed your treatise on ties (above).  True story (your sisters)?
10 total. Sisters, Sisters in Law, and of course our 2 squatters/home invaders (bless their hearts).

How about 3-4 month old fruit cake for breakfast. Mrs. BAMAWV sent 3/4 lb of bacon on the side to hold down the complaining. But this wasn't just off the shelf at Winn Dixie fruitcake.  No siree, Bob!  Fedex fruitcake from Switzerland or some such nonsense. As if free fruitcake is not torture enough.
Laughing  I'll give you the elusive e-cred for those lines!

My Virginia friends (C'ville) make fruit cake each Christmas.  Only a couple of us like it; theirs is good.  No raisins, lots of extra nuts, and wall-to-wall fruit.  I've eaten it for breakfast; bacon would indeed help!

BTW, dogs like fruit cake.  HTH.  Smiley

The dogs wolfed it down without tasting it which generally means they eat it just so the other can't have it. I tried to dress mine up with another fedex fiasco. Black truffle butter. BTW, nuts would've been an upgrade but no such luck in the Scandinavian version.  Sad

I realize your state has been taking it on the chin. Now I am off Mississippi and disgusted with Oklahoma. They kept me up all night  Angry. Here is my guess as to their problem:

My state?

I live in Mississippi.  It pays the bills.
I was born, raised, and educated in Alabama.  I own houses in Alabama.  Mississippi gives me a tax break, and I enjoy the Faulkner-isms.  Smiley

You can't deposit credits for Faulkner or the Ole Miss Christmas concerts without sharing ownership of Jerry Clower and Marcel.

Talk about whiners. :huge eye roll: You would think, to hear the interviews they had endure the winter of '43 in Stalingrad or were members of the Donner Party. One guy said they only had sandwiches. He didn't elaborate but I'll bet that came with chips and 1/2 dill pickle. Perhaps potato salad. I get disgusted when survivors try to save on effort and substitute paper napkins for linen.

You were up particularly early today.
I have friends in Albemarle Co who teach school.  I'm sure they are excited to have "professional development days", rather than an early summer vacation.

Up early?  Indeed.  Stormy, and I've got to pack the car for a gun show.  Fortunately I have a garage.

Mrs. BAMAWV tells the story of running into a teacher from our high school in line at a grocery store.  Seems they were renting movies and buying popcorn and such for a day of couch hugging, courtesy of the taxpayers. GRRrrrrr! While I feel confident that friends of yours have the credentials and integrity to use the day in the spirit it was designed, I am equally confident that the lady the woman ran into was not!

If it helps you sleep, keep in mind that their "professional development" would have been nil had it snowed.  Smiley

Not if VA is similar to WV. Teacher seminars or whatever they disguise them as, are independent of snow days. These are the ones they conveniently tie to 3 day weekends to make 4 day weekends (transcendental joy).

Well then, break out the cookies.  Time for professional development.  Huh?

Perfect timing. I just found a 6 mo. (+ or -) old M&M in a desk drawer. RTR
