Just watched a documentary about a guy named Alan Abel. He and his wife were big time hoaxers,-- expert put-on artists. Scams designed to get reactions out of TV talk show audiences. Maybe everyone has heard of them but this is new for me. This guy born in 1930-- a lot of exposure in the 70s.

Hair sandwiches (hair pie) under the premise that hair is good for you. Ban breast feeding. Omars School for Begging. Klan Witness Protection. Females for Felons. Their tagline was, "a nude horse is a rude horse."

Donahue Show, Motel (Sar) Williams, etc.
