A cheap metal detector is cheaper than a rear tire....  Think it's worth it?  Or think they'll push down instead of puncture?  Very soft over there.

You know what really sucks?  Accidentally breaking off fence posts below the ground.

I guess, you know regular metal barbed wire fence posts.  I have broken off 4 and only found the bottom of 2. 

You can probably auger/dig straight down on the old hole if they were that rotten.

My bad. I thought wooden posts. Measure --they should be spaced the same--8' or 10'. That'll get you close to finding the old one.

Good news: with your bucket they are easy to pull out (IF YOU FIND THEM FIRST).

Careful with those.  Yep, they'll ruin a tire.  I helped a friend clear his new pasture when he bought a pacle (20 acres).  The previous owner has just thrown all sorts of crap out there and buried it over time.  We used the box blade to scrape it into piles and the bucket to load it.  Thank goodness there was a landfill at his neighbor's pacle.  The box blade helps, especially if it's heaped up a bit and scattered.

She slapped her knee to get my attention to turn up the TV. I ignored her, but the dog came to be petted. Now she thinks we're both stupid.

The girl was out there taking pics.  We'll see what she got, not sure she got any of it stuck.

One of those deals where the more the tires turn, the deeper you go, straight down.
