There's a large tree just out of view.

BTW, keeping tension with the come alongs definitely helped, but thats not how I got out.  See those trailer ramps leaning against the fence in the cleaning pic?  Used those to get the big wheels out of the hole, but then I had the loader holding up the front end over the hole and was stuck again.  So i put a enough boards down to hold up the tires and used the bucket to push it back out.

20lbs of mud on each boot makes the day a little longer, huh?

Here we go.  Knocking down a couple of privets.  Pretty exciting.  The conclusion is uploading.

Next, this is just a continuation of me moving those two privets to the pile.  Note that I drop them and roll them on purpose to try and knock some of the dirt off the roots.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1359kvkGflk" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1359kvkGflk</a>

Stay tuned. couple more, the last one will show me getting stuck.  Embarrassed

Here is part 3, a lot of win in this one.

Parts 4-6 are a roller coaster ride of fail, win, fail.  Stay tuned.

Do you know how hard it is to get a tractor stuck?

Alabama quicksand.  3 hrs (including clean up), one come-along casualty, she's out.

A come along should have worked unless you had one rated at a weight not strong enough to pull out a tractor. I have pulled a full size pickup out of mud with a come along. I used a towing strap, a big tree, and a lot of energy. I was out hunting hogs.

I had two hooked up.  no go.  The one that died got ran over when I came loose.  pretty sure they are two tons each.
