Ok, good. By the way, we've had some good rain yesterday afternoon and today. No heavy flooding rain but more of a good soaking rain. We really needed it as well as many others across the state.

Ok, good. By the way, we've had some good rain yesterday afternoon and today. No heavy flooding rain but more of a good soaking rain. We really needed it as well as many others across the state.

I usually go flyfishing in the Smokies during the summer.  The news from there sounds pretty rough.  Last week's storms left lots of downed trees, blocked roads and trails, and streams filled with limbs and muddy water.  Bummer.

Hate to hear about your fly fishing trip. Mother Nature can humble us all in the blink of an eye and I for one should appreciate the good things in life more than I do.

I'm gearing up for light-weight stuff, a complete turnaround from the Belize fishing.  Instead of 100-lb test, now I'm tying 6X tippet (3.5-lb test) for Rainbows and Browns.  Yellow Stimulator or Yellow Sally usually works as a first try during summer.

That and bull minnows. They like the shrimp, but so do the rays, cats, & lady fish. The minnows usually weed out the "trash" fish.
