Naw. Maybe the F250?

I figure if I can get the truck back there then I wouldn't need a winch.  Although, one on the rear would be extremely helpful, but rear winch installs are a not easy or cheap.
We pull tourists out of ditches all winter long. The last thing I tell them is to take their hand off the wheel. I'll do the pulling. Point being, you could have pulled it out, with the truck, without being on the tractor. Unless your on a hill or something. Just keep wheels straight.

Tried that, spun the tires, tractor didnt budge.  I'll telling you man, that thing was stuck.
Sounds like it. Every situation is different. Pick up front tires with bucket, then snatch it? Another thing. I don't pull my tow strap taut before hitting it. Leave some slack- it gives you a running start.

Front tires were up on the bucket to keep the front from sinking further.  It was like that the whole time I was stuck.

The way I got it out, I took off the bushhog which was exceedingly difficult because of all the tention on the bolts.   I had two come alongs as tight as I could pull them, then I dug out where it was bottomed out and stuck, I could tell when I was digging in the right place because the tractor would move slightly because of the come alongs.  Then I put those trailer ramps behind the tires.  That got the rear tires up out of the hole, but the front was then over the hole.  and the trailer ramps were buried.   It was so deep I felt like I was going to flip forward when I let the bucket down.  So then I went and got a bunch of long boards out of the barn and put them perpendicular to the tractor beneath the front tires.  After I did that I could set down the front, so then I could use the buckets to push my self out til I had traction to go.

The whole time the obvious solution was to go get my nice old farmer neighbor and get him to come over with his tractor.  But of course he wasnt home, and of course he came home about 2 minutes after I pulled it out.
Better to have worked it out yourself, since you'll be working jobs alone. Good experience, all around.

yeah, in hindsight.  Plus, I like the old farmer neighbor and that would have been somewhat embarrassing.
He's been through it too. Applause E-Cred

Yep, I'm sure he has, really nice guy.

I am going to try and regrade my property back there with a level, a box blade, and a tractor (after I am done clearing).  Should be interesting.   I am starting to think that there might be a spring, or least it is hummocky terrain on top of rock causing perched swamps.  It's unique.   I have an area that is lower than the pond level that is for the most part dry.

Yep, 83 here today and lots of wind.  Then mega-storms tomorrow starting about 9AM.  At least we have today.

I'm not doing church.  It's communion Sunday.  I'll commune with nature. Cool

From the report this morning, this storm could be as bad. We've got a wind warning today starting around the noon hour with the big stuff to follow.

I remember that.  Xenia, Ohio ceased to exist.
I was in a boating accident the next day; fog and huge swells got us.  The boat flipped, etc.  Not a good day.  But nobody got lost.
