Back from the auction.  Bought:

1. Aboriginal painted egg (ostrich egg painted in cool design) = $5;
2. A 6' level made in USA = $4;
3. Box of leather goods (bridles, straps of leather, wallets) = $11;
4. Leather tool belts (2), hammer, and old tools = $6;
5. Two old hand drills and 8 bits = $10.

You hold a numbered paddle (cardboard on a long tongue depressor) and wave to bid.  But it's pretty informal, so often I just raise my hand and nod to up my bid.

Sold:
1. Craftsman 1973 6 1/8" Jointer-Planer = $80.

Highest-priced item that sold tonight: $995 for a mahogany bedroom suit.

Looks like you did well. Isaac still appears to be a little unpredictable. Pensacolans ran amok at Walmarks yesterday. Luckily, our pantry is full and so are the propane tanks. We bought water.

Obviously, it's the hunt, not the purchase.  Fun time and cheap entertainment.
Glad you're prepared.  Stay safe.
I'm off to build a house with my new tools!

How are we ever gonna play golf if you keep aggravating that back? You be safe, also.

High School football is back. Austin beat Lee-Huntsville 37-6 in their jamboree game last night. We hope to improve on last years 7-4 record. We have a tough opener on Thursday night against Spain Park. Spain Park is pre-season # 5 in the state. They only list the top 10 but we would be # 15 based on votes received.

Nice butt-whipping, pmull. Keep us posted during the season. Last year we all sort pf lived vicariously through yours and Coach Hank Crisp's posts on your respective high schools. Sadly, we won't have that this year.  Sad
