It is sad, I hope the folks down there evacuated before this deluge of rain. Surely they learned from Katrina. Sad Pray

There are police and firemen trapped now, 380,000 without power, and some residents who didn't leave trapped.  The levees in Plaquemines were topped during the night, which suddenly flooded everything with 4-7' of water.

This is not good because there's a lot more rain to fall before Isaac moves on.

Now kidding.  Now it's forecast to stay just south and west of New Orleans all day today, then slowly move NW.  It's only moved a few miles during the past 10 hours.

No word this morning from 2 or some of the others along the coast.  Hopefully they're not among the 380,000 who lost power.   Sad

I think 2 may be traveling east up to the Carolina states .

good morning ...

not bad here  , wind and rain with a dash of flooding and a
pinch of tornado warning to spice it up a notch ...

looks like I have a big yard mess to clean up later  Banging your head against the wall.

Apologize for not checking in earlier, guys. We are OK here in Mobile; power still on, just a great deal of rain (though nothing like what they are getting west of us). We are still trying to get packed up for the great migration north this weekend.

Glad to hear you're okay.
So, Isaac will ease the pain of leaving the Gulf coast, eh?
When are you leaving (before or after the game)?

There are several options for watching the game on computer (streaming).  I'll give you a site after I check them out (to see which work for this game), if this one doesn't work: Click here for link

Thanks Chech. It really is pathetic what passes for college football coverage up there. You really have to do some looking to find game stories for Maryland and Navy, and they don't do nearly the complete wrapups (full stats, side stories, etc.) that the T-News and others do. Of course, you have to fit your coverage to what the public wants to see, and the people up there just don't give a darn about college football. Very, very sad.
