Thanks Chech. It really is pathetic what passes for college football coverage up there. You really have to do some looking to find game stories for Maryland and Navy, and they don't do nearly the complete wrapups (full stats, side stories, etc.) that the T-News and others do. Of course, you have to fit your coverage to what the public wants to see, and the people up there just don't give a darn about college football. Very, very sad.

We're just a click away, my friend.

Good morning.  I am going to take the site down for just a minute while I flip the switch over to a new server.  It should be only a minute or two (if I do it right).

I thought the place had a "new car smell" when I came in....I thought someone had just hung an air freshener.

Morning!

Hopefully Isaac will keep moving and not create the severe water problems for the folks in it's path now. I'm sure though that Isaac will be a relieving sight for the folks that have been in the drought area.

I keep hearing TV reporters say 'it's too late for the farmers', but it's not too late to help the reservoirs, livestock ponds, lakes, and groundwater.  THEY NEED RAIN; this should help.

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt a thing if this storm went all the way to the upper Mid-West. The Mississippi River has been dangerously low for a few weeks now and if it's low you can only imagine how low the lakes and ponds are in those areas.

Just hope they don't get too much too fast.  Coastal Mississippi and Slidell, LA got LOTS of rain over the past 36 hours (6-10").  That's too much for farm country.  Doubt they'll get that much, but careful what you wish for.

Exactly, they can use some rain but not the flooding type. Hopefully the tornadic stuff will subside as well for all in it's path.
