Did I miss another political post?  I thought that has all been in the President's Mansion since the last problem, but I guess I could have missed one.

My take on this is that someone with an unhealthy phobia about people discussing the weather got his way by posting politics in this thread to get his way and have it moved off the Quad.

I'm not sure how he got his way.  I've asked him to keep all of the political comments, even the jokes, in the President's Mansion.  So far he has done that.

It never occurred to me that you guys would be upset that this thread was moved.  Is it really that big of a deal?  I figured you guys would be happy about the outcome.  It seems like only a minor inconvenience in exchange for not having the constant political bickering.

I don't think anyone would argue that this thread is sports related and truly belongs on the Quad.  If we are going to tighten up on making sure things are posted to the right board, then we have to do it equitably among all members.  I hold myself to that same standard.  Let's be honest about it:  this thread belongs in Ferguson, regardless of who may or may not have gotten their way.

As for Chechem, I'm not sure why he hasn't been posting.  Do you really think it is because the thread was moved?  I don't buy that.  He left right after the last round of political jokes, so maybe he just got tired of hearing about politics during the games.

There are plenty other Bama forums where he can go that are more suited for 12 yr old behavior. JMO.

I can take anything you got. It doesn't bother me, but don't act like you don't insult others. It's obvious you do. I don't know what makes you think that you are above this board. You aren't and you would do well to remember that. I've known for a long time that you don't care for me and I could give a crap. That situation doesn't need to be carried over on the forum and that's the last I'll say about that.

A daily thread to say hello, post the weather, talk about your daily activities, etc belongs in Ferguson. That is what this thread is. There is nothing wrong with posting that stuff it just needs to be on the proper board.

I would not mind a catch all thread in the Quad for sports related items only. Some sports comments or posts don't need a new thread just a place to post them.

I don't want to speak for SC but I think his intent is to make the Quad 100% sports like it was originally supposed to be. Fun, jokes and misc stuff be in Ferguson.

That's right.  Some members only want to see sports related stuff and skip everything else, so they go to the quad.  Most of them don't complain, but it has been mentioned to me in passing from time to time.
