SC, do you have the backyard Taj Mahal built yet?

I can't get out there and do much during the week.  So I have been thinking about how I am going to keep a big gust of wind from blowing the whole thing down.  Thinking

The key is to have some significant structure underground.  Dirt ways about a ton per cubic yard, so if I can have about 10 yards of dirt (total) sitting on top of my footings I think it would take a tornado to pull the posts out of the ground.   Undecided

Here is a CAD rendering of what the underground structure might look like.  I am still thinking about it, but I like this design so far.  The black line is ground level.

Here is an isometric view of the floor framing.  This is all subject to change of course.

You will have the only tree house in the neighborhood that needs flood insurance.

Don't think you'll need flood insurance for this one.

I see this going into football season at this pace. That will be a problem.... at least the kids will think it is a problem when you are not out there working.
