Chech, have you been able to catch up on all of your mowing with the weather being so wet?

Morning 2 and Jamos.
Rain??  Somehow we've missed the rain for the past month.  When I returned home this week (after 2 weeks away), my rain gauge had just an inch recorded.  The grass wasn't as bad as I'd feared.  I finished it in about 40 minutes (half an acre).
When we left for the trip during mid-July, there was rain surrounding us: raining over Alabama, Arkansas, and south Mississippi.  Not here.

Good morning. No rain yesterday, but with all the work I've been buried under, I haven't had time to give the peas and butterbean patch pool the cleaning it deserves. Will probably tackle that tomorrow.

I've been thinking, I don't know how big your pool (garden to be) is but we might be able to add a row of okra and some tomato plants.

Wow, how did you miss all of it? I've been mowing about every 4-5 days when possible. I've got to mow again this afternoon because of the rain coming in this tomorrow and Sunday. We've had at least 8 inches this month.

Yep, it bypassed us.  And I just saw on the weather channel that the big rain event to our west is expected to pass south of us (to middle Mississippi) tonight.  Call me lucky?

If I had that much rain, I wouldn't have to drive all over the country (literally) to fish.

I lived on Dauphin Island for 6 years.  The fresh seafood, especially good gumbo, ruined me.  Now I seldom find gumbo that is worthy of the name.

Gun show this weekend.  Maybe I'll find a prize.

I lived on Dauphin Island for 6 years.  The fresh seafood, especially good gumbo, ruined me.  Now I seldom find gumbo that is worthy of the name.

Cedar Point Pier (N end of Dauphin Island Bridge) before Hurricane Frederick (circa 1976).  Best gumbo in the world.  I used to ride in the DI Sheriff Squad.  Ate there at Cedar Point every Sunday night.  Slept like a baby.
