Goooood Mornin Chech and CRS

I'm happy to see the Daily Thread so active...welcome back Mr X and congratulations on getting to 5,000 CB.

I've been feeling pretty crummy the last few days and haven't been on here much and I see I have a lot of catching up to do on my reading when time permits...I have a doctor appointment this morning to receive and discuss the results of the CT scan that I had done on Friday.  If the news is good and the treatments have been working then I'll probably have another chemo infusion today...otherwise, I don't know where we go from here.   I'm trying to have faith and stay positive but that's tough to do when I'm feeling sick and having pain in the area where I've been getting treatment.

I hope this is a good day for everyone and the start to another great week...try to make it a great one for everyone around you and it will be for you too Wink

Hang in there Leroy.  Pray

We're still praying for you, Leroy. It would be great for you to receive some good news today. I hope you get it..

Congrats, CB. So that shows that posting from Maryland CAN be done.

Chech, good luck on the rain chances.

J, since you put the tractor back together, how's it run?

This tractor reminded me of the Auburn grad and the chain saw. His chain wasn't cutting so good so he took it to the shop for repair. The repairman pulled the start rope and the saw started, the Auburn grad looked at him startled and wanted to know what was all that noise that the saw was making. When I turned the key on the tractor and it started, I was one surprised dude to hear it running. I guess we never get too old to learn some things. Anyway, the tractor and I are good friends again. Wink

I don't want to jinx it, but [shhhhhhhhhh] there's a big cloud approaching Chechville and I hear thunder.  I've washed the car today, watered the grass and strawberry patch, and I'm thinking of dragging LF's suede coat into the yard ahead of the cloud...

I'm going to Wally World to bye you a break.

I'd come up there and do a rain dance for you, but I think you can do without 7 years of drought.

The barners are on the A&M board making azzes out of themselves. They are saying all this JF stuff was made up by Bama fans and the REC. They are posting T-Town Mens Wear pictures and stuff like that. The mods have had enough and made this post:

 Undecided

I didn't get the news from the doctor that I was hoping and praying for today.  The last 8 treatments that I've had didn't slow the growth of the nodules in my lungs and I have a couple of new small ones.  So, for now, we are out of treatment options.  My doctor will continue to look for trial studies that I might have a chance of getting into.

I am supposed to have my right lung drained of fluid one day this week and hopefully that will relieve the shortness of breath and some of the pain that I've been experiencing.  It will be an outpatient procedure at the hospital and if all goes well I'll be in and out in half a day but there is a chance that I could get a collapsed lung and have to stay a day or two until the lung re-inflates.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement all of you have given me...they mean more to me than I can express. There is still a chance the nodules will stop growing and there is still a chance of a miracle. I haven't given up by any means and I promise I'll keep praying and fighting and I intend to live every day as fully as I can until the day when God takes me home.

Okay...now back to football season and ROLL TIDE ROLL ...let's go get Number 16!!!

Leroy that is not the report we wanted to hear either. I guess you will just have to prove that doctor wrong. Good luck to you my friend. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I don't think there is a person on this forum who is not pulling and praying for you, Leroy. Chech is right, miracles happen every day and I've witnessed a few myself. Keep up the good fight. We will back you with prayer.
