wish you were here Jamos I would have made sure you got plenty of those
tasty little suckers ...
oh man ... I ate way way to much  Banging your head against the wall.

btw ...
I took the wife out to dinner last night to this new Mexican place
and I guess from the heat yesterday getting to me a little ,
shortly after we sat down to eat at the restaurant  I start to cramp up ,
hands , legs , the whole bit ... couldn't even hold my fork ... how embarrassing

 Embarrassed

don't know about you but I've had all this heat I can stand  Angry

hope the cramp monster don't pay you a visit  Banging your head against the wall.

I would have loved to have been there, love those bugs.

Wow, you did get hot. When you get to the point you are cramping it is serious time then. I've had some cramps after going to bed after a hot day and I'll take 800 mg of Ibuprofin and that usually helps me pretty quick.

Well, I didn't suck at golf as bad as I thought I would. I birdied the last hole to break even. Then I came home and had a big cookout to celebrate Breddy's birthday. Been up 19 straight hours. G'night all. Happy birthday, Sweety!

I was exploring Pea Ridge (Civil War) Battlefield before noon this morning, Pine Ridge (Ark) at 4PM, and home tonight.  WHEW, what a long day: 15 hours of driving.

Happy B'day, Breddy (belated).  Jumping

Good Morning CRS. Coffee

After a few days of hot humid weather and no rain, we finally got some last night. I had fertilized a sickly pecan tree earlier in the week and the rain last night was much appreciated.

Wow, another big day for Bama's athletic program yesterday with another championship and a big time football recruit commitment, things just keep getting better and better for the Crimson Tide. Applause E-Cred

Chech, that's a great pic. It really gets your imagination to working with the cannons and splitrail fence as to what it must have been like back then.

It's Monday and a new week, I hope everybody has a great one. Cheesy

 Coffee

Moving a bit slowly this morning.  My hands are still clutching a steering wheel.

J, I visited a HUGE farmer's market in Bentonville, Arkansas on Saturday morning.  They had plenty of gadgets, but nobody had a pea sheller.  Sorry.

The Ross Pierschbacher recruitment had taken some odd turns before he finally made his decision this weekend.  It'd been a week since he told everyone his decision was near, so everyone was waiting anxiously.  Big boy, big pickup.

Morning boys. Not a bad weekend, overall. My boy is over his stomach illness, Braves and O's both won series, Bama gets a big OL commitment, and I finished the summer semester (hopefully) unscathed. I am also trying to lose weight (again), but so far it has not been going to bad. Where I was drinking 3-4 sodas a day about a week or so ago, I am down to one or even none a day now, and I am drinking more water. Would love to lose about 15 pounds or so by Thanksgiving (although I need to lose much more than that; trying to keep goals modest at this point).

Here's Verne after 3 or 4 attempts of trying to pronounce his name.

Glad to hear the little one is well.  Probably watching the Braves healed him!

You know, obviously, that cokes are the problem.  They're just a bottle of thick syrup and a bit of soda water.  Imagine drinking half a bottle of pancake syrup at one sitting!  Walk away from them, my friend.  It can be that simple!

Yeah.  Peas are shelled; in the freezer.
She also went to a wedding; sorry I missed it.
I'd planned to stay last night in Pine Bluff, AR.  Ever been there??  Don't.  I did a U-turn, and drove home instead.

I see I typed "Pine Ridge" above.  Oops.  Probably no such pacle.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a "Pine Ridge" in Arkansas.

4 years ago, Mrs. 2, my youngest daughter, a couple of friends of ours and I took the scenic tour going to Branson, Mo. We went to Hot Springs and then up through the Ozarks. We stopped in Russellville, Ark. to eat and spend the night. We walked into a local steak house and I was hot and thirsty. Couldn't wait to get a cold beer. As we are waiting to be seated, I'm lookining around at the patrons to see what they are drinking.

Iced tea, iced tea, iced tea, everywhere, iced tea. I asked the hostess if they served beer. In the most over-the-top southern accent you can imagine she replied "No, this here's a dry countee. All the available likker licenses are bought up by the Baptist Assosheeayshun so that no alkeehaul can be soweld in Russellville."

I ended up drinking a warm Heineken I had in the cooler, after we got to the hotel. I'll never grace that town with my presence again.  Angry
