Goooood Mornin from Arkansas again...we've (Mrs Leroy) decided to spend another day here.  To be honest, I had forgotten how much 8 grandchildren can wear you out and I needed a quiet day today to rest up before riding/driving all day tomorrow.

Eight?!!!  Shocked

I only have one and he is more than a handful.

Safe travels, Leroy and Roll Tide!

Haven't seen SC around here either.  Just post something filthy, and he'll show.

I went by work today for the first time in a week.  Mistake.  Secretary gave me a pile of jobs.  Now I'm hiding out at home again.

I haven't seen SC on the forum in a while, hope everything is ok with him. Maybe he's finished the backyard Taj Mahal and he forgot to build a ladder or steps to get down.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I know that before, he would get busy with work and disappear for a while. Maybe that's what is going on now.

I noticed him missing as well. His last post was on 8/8 but I have seen him logged on a time or two without posting. He last logged on Friday 8/16.

I'm guessing he is busy at work and getting his kids back to school. I have not starting checking the obits...yet.

Hopefully the tree house didn't fall on him.

That'll teach you.

Chaac has apparently done a bang-up job here in P'cola. Not a drop of rain yet today.

I was talking to a new agent in Tuscon this morning and he accused me of stealing their rain. It's supposed to be the rainy season there and it's dry as a bone. What is their annual rainfall, about 7 inches?

We get that in half a day.

When I was out west at Mesa Verde NP, a ranger told me they hadn't had ANY rain in 4 years.  There were water-tank trucks and fire hoses staged all over the park, just waiting for the fires.

(Fire) It's a dry heat.

Arizona is an interesting place with widely varying climates depending on elevation.  A drive up Mount Lemon right outside Tucson is an interesting look at that.  You can see everything from desert to British Columbia-esque climate in a 45 minute drive.

I took a Mustang rental with the top down for a drive up it once.  Started in 80 degree weather looking at sand and cacti.  Ended up with the heater on full blast with 5-6' snow piles on the shoulder of the roads a few minutes later.  I got a lot of strange looks.

Wow! 4 years is a long time without rain. I'm surprised daybreak doesn't cause spontaneous combustion there.

That's a vivid image, but there's a lot of physics I need to explain to you some day.

A couple of betting lines I found interesting:

T. J. Yeldon Over/Under 1,400 yards  14.5 TD's

Amari Cooper Over/Under 1,000 yards  9.5 TD's

Hmmm, betting eh?  Here's a 1996 Seinfeld quote for you, my friend:

"The toll road of denial is a long and dangerous one. The price? Your soul."

Here it is, less than 2 weeks before our first game, and LSU has been quiet (except for Jeremy Hill) and UGA has had no players suspended lately.  The Fulmer Cup is nearly dry.

Prediction: both LSU and UGA have players in the news this week.  It just wouldn't be football season without them suspending a batch each.

I am too tight to bet. I don't like losing money. I do fine the spreads and over/under interesting. I would not touch those bets above. Just like Vegas wants they could go either way.
