This reminds me of a good friend from my college days at Bama.  4-6 of us would occasionally get together and play some low-stakes poker.  If anyone got up a few bucks quickly and wanted to cash in he'd say, "You'll take your money with an ass whipping if you want to leave right now."  Rarely did anyone win or lose more than $10, but it was a principle to him that you didn't leave immediately after winning a few bucks.
