A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. I enjoyed it and thought some of you would to.

Quote
Last Thursday night around midnight, a woman from Houston , Texas was ...arrested, jailed, and charged with manslaughter for shooting a man 6 times in the back as he was running away with her purse.

The following Monday morning, the woman was called in front of the Arraignment Judge, sworn-in, and asked to explain her actions.

The woman replied, "I was standing at the corner bus stop for about 15 minutes, waiting for the bus to take me home after work. I am a waitress at a local cafe. I was there alone, so I had my right hand on my pistol in my purse hanging on my left shoulder. All of a sudden I was spun around hard to my left. As I caught my balance, I saw a man running away with my purse. I looked down at my right hand and saw that my fingers were wrapped tightly around my pistol. The next thing I remember is saying out loud, "No Way Punk! You're not stealing my pay check and tips." I raised my right hand, pointed my pistol at the man running away from me with my purse, and started squeezing the trigger of my pistol.

When asked by the arraignment judge, "Why did you shoot the man 6 times? The woman replied under oath, "Because, when I pulled the trigger the 7th time, it only went click."

The woman was acquitted of all charges. She was back at work the next day! That's Gun Control, Texas Style

God love her!  Applause E-Cred

I wonder how many of his friends will think about this before they do something to some woman standing alone. Praise God justice was handled the right way. RTR!

Well, death for purse stealing seems sort of like tough justice.

Yes it might be. One question though, how do you stop all the thugs from ripping women's clothes? That lady worked in a Cafe' for a job. I almost bet she would work hard for her money. RTR!

I was robbed 22 years ago in Memphis. To this day I wished I had killed that sorry POS. The violation you feel is indescribable.

LF and I got home tonight.  Thanks to all who wished us safe travels.

Funny story about the waitress.... BUT....

Hit 6 times while running away?
I applaud the story, but I call bs.
Sorry, but Annie Oakley couldn't do that!  If she did:

Maybe he was big and slow and made for an easy target.

Glad you made it home safely and Happy New Year.

Evening gents. Just arrived back in La Casa de cbbama back here in MD. Long drive, but a great time with the fam. But it is great to be able to prop my feet up on my own couch again.

Hope y'all had a great Christmas, CB. Looks like the Ravens will be home propping their feet up, too.  Sad

Yep.  Banging your head against the wall.   But I am not too bummed, because honestly I don't think we deserved a playoff spot. They played like crap most of the season. There is going to have to be some serious re-tooling of the team before next season. But my other team down in New Orleans is in, so I am 50 percent happy!

I don't see the Saints going far. With the exception of the last game against Tampa Bay, they've been struggling the last half of the season. They are too pass-happy, and teams have started figuring out how to defend them. They need to run more, because that part of their game is pretty productive. It would be even more productive if they'd let HTWMI tote the rock more. He's played very well recently, but they don't put him in much.

If they were playing in The Dome, then I would say they have a better than average chance, but with the game in Philly, I don't think they have much of a chance.

I agree. They don't play their best outdoors.
