Where ya been, X?

well , been really busy , then I drop my phone in my cup that was
full of coffee containing cream and sugar so the phone is toast

went phone shopping with no results but on the bright side
I really haven't missed the phone other than no WWW while I'm
on the move , actually been really peaceful just with no internet .

ever notice that your grip with your hands isn't as strong as
it used to be ? that you are better off just trying to pick up
one thing at a time ?
especially in this cold weather ? ever wish you would have took up
playing canasta or bridge with you're mom's friends or maybe knitting
instead of playing ball , riding motorcycles and other stuff that will
tear up your bones and joints ?

X, I fully understand.  Gets worse; just wait!

Trees are down from previous damage, not yesterday.  I cut up 3 of them last winter.  Three more to go.

Thanks, 2.  I've got help (he just arrived), so hopefully the back won't need to strain itself.  I'll do the cutting; he gets to lift and haul.

my wife does work with ARF
ARF is Animal Rescue Foundation

we foster pets from time to time until they can find a home for them
sometimes they find a home sometimes the pet stays
pretty much a crap shoot if you ask me ...

she is talking about fostering another one yesterday 
so I have to pull out my favorite pet adoption video

I just checked the radar. It is outta here. That kind of came out of nowhere, didn't it?

Sounds like y'all had some rough weather down there. The skies are nice up here today, but is a wee bit nipply outside (about 25 at 7 a.m.). Only going to get worse, I think, because we are due to get into the teens on Tuesday.

It's really been a true winter all over the country. My oldest daughter, who is a traveling nurse, is currently in Miami, and she was telling me how everyone was bundled up like it was Minnesota when the low got down to 46 the other night. We laugh, but that actually broke the record.

BTW, CB, her next assignment is in your neck of the woods. She reports February 17.

I spent the morning in my woods cutting up trees that fell during the Tuscaloosa-tornado event.  We cut up 3 big ones in 3 hours.  My back is holding so far, but I'm exhausted.  Time for football.

Hey Chechem you need to be careful. This back stuff is not good. I will never be able to work again in my lifetime. I live off pain killers and it is really awful. RTR!
