Just literally saw the launch from Cape Canaveral, at a distance, of course. And actually saw the booster disengage. First time I've seen a launch since Alan Shepard launched as the first American in space. I had chills!

I thought we scrapped our entire fleet. 

You're right, Super. This must be the military. Or maybe they launch commercial satellites from there.

An Atlas V rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, piercing the clear night sky on a mission to carry a NASA Tracking and Data Relay Satellite into orbit.

This picture was in the Decatur Daily this morning. The frozen fountain is at the Old State Bank building on main street in old downtown Decatur.

Well, my curiosity got the best of my so I googled it.  He didn't say what they launched.  It wasn't a space shuttle, but apparently they did launch a rocket with a satellite.

The weather is beautiful. My golf sucked terribly today, I really don't much care. Warmth is a beautiful thing! South Beach tomorrow! Hoping to get some pics.

Morning to all.

Chech, you're pictures and the coffee does warm up the body a bit. We get some warmer temps today but the strong wind may not let us enjoy the warmth as much.

It will be a busy day today. We have softball's Fan Appreaciation Day at midday and basketball tonight.

Chilly again this morning, and about to get LOTS worse when the cold front blows through.  Back down to 10 degrees tomorrow night.
