Good morning from the fine state of North Carolina.  Lots of big thunderstorms expected here today, but beautiful for the weekend.

Sorry about your golf, 2.  Looks like it went the way of the Braves' batting.  They lost badly last night.

I wish there was some way that nut grass could be made into an eatable veggie.

Truth.  I bought some "miracle product" last year: SedgeHammer.  It's supposed to be great at eliminating nutgrass (a sedge).

WRONG

I spent $50 on 2 bottles of it.  It killed about half of the plants I sprayed, but apparently not the 'nuts'.  In less than a month it was just as bad as before.

I've been told that the only way to get rid of nut grass is to move and I can't argue with that.

Image is the best product I have found to kill nutgrass. You can get it at Lowe's and Home Depot.

You have to do more than one application. It kills from the tips of the grass down. There is always small young growth that does not get killed in the first application.

Hey Chechem, I use to live in North Carolina. Your right one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. You probably know the place: FT. BRAGG, NC. I loved it there. RTR!

Visiting friends here in NC today, plus a buddy and I plan to make a stop at a huge Army-Navy Surplus shop.  It's one of the old-timey good ones.

Yep, Preacher, I know Ft. Bragg.  They had a ceremony yesterday for the soldiers from there who were killed during the past year.

Father we come to lift our hands to you and bow our heads to honor you. Lord we have a weekend starting for Memorial Day. We pray Jesus that drinking will be NIL and driving while drunk or texting while driving will stop. Jesus we pray people come to realize they are killing Fathers, Mothers, children, Grandparents, Aunts and uncles. Why do people keep committing murder on our roads. HELP US DEAR JESUS. I missed two good softball games. I have been to the SEC Baseball Tourney in Hoover the last two nights. I sure was hoping Alabama would be playing when I made my plans but I have seen some very good baseball. Hoover and the SEC does a good job with the Tourney. It is a fun event.
