My cousin and his family lives in Orange Beach and he said they are getting pounded with rain. RTR!

Preacher, they are, as are the rest of us in the region. Orange Beach is in the same path as we are for the heavy storms coming off the Gulf. They are probably getting the worst of it right now.

Yeah Preacher, Mississippi is now getting hammered and Mobile is under a tornado warning. We will be under the gun soon. I can already hear lots of thunder.

RAIN HERE

Nothing threatening like down along the Gulf Coast, but plenty of heavy rain.  Plus, LF and I have to go out in this crap in 15 minutes!!

Okay, I dropped LF at school.  It's raining like crazy.  I'll pick her up at the door at 9PM, unless it floods!     If so, I'll take the boat and my flyrod!

2, hope you're safe.  Looks NASTY down there!

No confirmation of the tornado on the ground, but the circulating cloud (tornado) is along Hwy 98 near the Dog Track (~15 miles west of Pensacola).

Okay, at least that tornado is moving north of Pensacola now (45 mph moving NE), and passing north of 2's abode.  Looks like a very nasty bit is right where he lives!

Report that car blown off I-10 bridge (Escambia Bay) in Pensacola.

That's right near 2's house.

UPDATE: News people saying that report is unsubstantiated.

The worst of the storm has passed 2's house now, and is in the Pace, FL area (east of Pensacola).  "Confirmed" that tornado damage near Pace, headed toward Milton.

Damage report now on Olive Road in Pensacola (roofs off apartments, and injuries reported).  That's near 2's house too (about 1 mile away).

 Pray

Gotta go pick up LF now.  Still raining here, but nothing severe.

Hope all are well.

I just got a text from 2 and his house was hit by the storm a little bit ago. They were in the bathtub when it hit and everyone is okay but power lines and trees are down everywhere. He has a tree on his car and couldn't tell if he has any roof damage or not. He said it was the scaredest he has ever been. Pray

OMG, just glad they're okay.  If his house was hit there must have been LOTS of damage in the rest of Pensacola!!  WOW.

In looking at the size of the storm, I would guess it is very widespread with lots of damage.
