Well with all the fishing I feel somebody has a great big rod.
Today I had the funniest thing happen and I will share this if I ever see it come to be. RTR!

Looked like a whale of a finish to the basketball game last night. I feel sorry for UNC. That 3 pointer at the buzzer broke their hearts.

59 degrees right now, but going up to near 80 today. WOOOT!!!!  Dancing

It's 49 degrees here, but going to be beautiful (and warmer) later.  BEAUTIFUL DAY!

Yep, UNC battled back to tie the game, but lost at the buzzer.  Nova just hit everything they threw up.  Several times late in the game they held the ball until under 10 seconds, got trapped by defense, threw up a prayer, and it went in; time after time!  What a team.  They deserved the win.

BTW, Atlanta lost.  Here we go!

Yep! Typical Atlanta crap. They were leading going to the 9th and let the Nats tie them, then lost it in the 10th.

Are we going to let them break our hearts all year??  I'm thinking, 'off this bandwagon'.

Must be another southern city willing to try a team.  And I'm not talking 'southern' Florida!

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos will play their first game at home April 12. I'll be there to cheer them on. Might have to set my sights lower, to this AA minor league team.

When I was a kid my grandfather took us to minor-league games in Mobile.  Lots of future big leaguers played on that team.  Good stuff, and some good baseball.

Pretty sure I posted this on here before, but when I was a kid, I worked for the Montgomery Rebels. The first year, I was an usher. The second year, I worked the "Red Sox type" scoreboard. The 2 catchers on the team were Jim Leyland and Gene Lamont. The first Baseman was a big guy named George Kalafatis. He was a big dumb looking guy who usually either struck out or hit a HR. He struck out a lot more than he hit a HR.

The fans used to ride him about being so dumb. In 2000 or 2001, he was the top grossing sports agent in the world.

Good times!

Never knew you were such a baseball fan!  Cool for a kid to have such jobs in baseball.  Unlike football, basball has always welcomed youngsters to mingle with the teams.  Makes for a much better family atmosphere.

That was a great time and I had a lot of fun working there. I remember them having the best hot dogs I've ever eaten. They had nothing but ketchup and mustard on them, but were wrapped in wax paper and were steamed. I've never seen it's equal.

I just Googled George Kalafatis. I was wrong about the year he was the top grossing sports agent. It was the early to mid 90's. He actually died in 1995 at age 50.
