Preacher, oddly enough, that's how the town got its name. There was a general store there years ago, and every time someone would go in there for something, more times than not, the store owner would say he was slap out. True story.

First, let me join you in saying yes I heard the story about Slapout and it to be true.
2nd they did have everything that I wanted. It totaled up to NOTHING!

Good morning again everyone.  Very busy at work lately and for the foreseeable future.  That's a good thing, right?    Anyways, the temps here are cooling a bit but we still aren't getting much rainfall. I'm about ready to stop mowing grass for the year anyways...

The Oxford paper yesterday discussed a shuffling of the Ole Miss linebackers.  Seems Freeze isn't pleased with them.  He wants to find LBs who can both stop the run and serve as cover guys (duh!!).  Now Oregon State transfer, Rommel Mageo, is expected to start against Alabama.

Otherwise, it's hot and dry here.  I think my sprinkler melted yesterday; put it in the yard, turned the water on, and the hose was flat and nonfunctional.  Never seen that.

When is autumn coming?  I'm ready to try beach fishing again.

Well it is hot here but not as hot as it has been. Noticed it a tad cooler in the mornings. I don't think our grass will need cutting again unless it rains a few times maybe one more cutting for sure. Middle of Sept. and it is still in the lower 90's but the rest of the week here it is suppose to be in the upper 80's now. Yall have a Blessed day and let's get ready for Sat. Afternoon. RTR!

Only 2 days until the big game.  FORTUNATELY the weatherman revised his prediction to 20% chance of rain, so maybe we'll have a game without delays and/or slop.  I'd love for Bama to get in there, score first and often, then relax and let the defense control the second half.  After 2 years of giving away the game, it's time for Alabama to dominate and WIN.

Still HOT here.  No rain, dry, crispy grass, dust, and allergies.

Heading back to P'cola this afternoon for the weekend and then back up here Monday. I guess I'm the traveling man now, Chech. Glad to hear that the forecast has changed got the game. I think we will make our share of mistakes again, but will win anyway.

Yeah, we should win easily.  We're 10-pt favorites (or better), but somehow we've managed to give it away for 2 years.  Saban says it's no revenge game; is to me!!

Well still no grass cutting in sight. Grass all breaks off when we walk on it. Looking forward to another day with joy and seeing the day draw nigh to kick off. Things will really be jumping if we win this one. The sports world will be busy. I am kind of studying who might start, I guess it would be Jalen. RTR!

I mowed the grass last weekend, ricky, but it was the first time in a month, and it was beginning to look as unkempt as Kim Jong-un's haircut.

Probably won't mow again until the leaves fall off the trees.
