The crappy weather is back.  Lightning, wind, heavy rain.
What, did I step on a witch's foot or something??

You didn't run over a frog did you? Hawaiians say that's bad luck.

I know it is stating the obvious but:

I hope the weather soon improves, CAT.

E-cred to you both.  No, I try to avoid frogs in the road.  And I'd have to spray-paint Cat for it to qualify; not likely.

Maybe a wood nymph.  Can you swallow wood nymphs while sleeping?

DANG; my TV just went off and it's hailing BIGTIME.  YIKES.  Back soon.  This is a mega-thunderstorm.

The big cloud is gone.  That's the biggest hail I've ever seen.  It covered our deck and was slamming on the house.  Lady took pics of it on the deck.  I'll post a pic once she figures out how to download it.

That hail probably ruined a lot of cars around here.  Wow.  Glad we have a garage.

BTW, I shut down the computer when it hit.  The TV was already off (satellite was gone).

When hail like that hits (with NO rain for a minute or two) I always think 'tornado'.  I opened the door and listened.  It's just after dark, so I listened.  The last one came past here 2 years ago, just a quarter mile behind our house.  It got several businesses, numerous houses, and a church.

By the time Lady got out her camera, some of it had melted.  The biggest chunks were golf-ball size (just for you, 2).  It made a real racket on the roof.  I'll have to check it in the morning for damage.

Why?  I live there 2.5 months of the year now, sometimes longer.  I wouldn't want to be there during the late summer or fall.  And I enjoy Christmas with family.  No, this is the best way, early summer and after Christmas.

Hard to tell size from the pic.  Next time I'll roll a Titleist out there.  That stuff would knock you down as hard as it was falling.  There are leaves and limbs off the oaks all around the yard; see the ones to the right?  Most of this hail had melted by the time the pic was taken; just small pebble-sized bits in the pic in pacles.

Well I hope you have an internet connection down there.  I would hate for you to disappear altogether for 2.5 months.  Although I would certainly understand if you spent the majority of your time NOT online while your there.
