The big cloud is gone.  That's the biggest hail I've ever seen.  It covered our deck and was slamming on the house.  Lady took pics of it on the deck.  I'll post a pic once she figures out how to download it. 

That hail probably ruined a lot of cars around here.  Wow.  Glad we have a garage.

BTW, I shut down the computer when it hit.  The TV was already off (satellite was gone).

Glad y'all are ok.

When hail like that hits (with NO rain for a minute or two) I always think 'tornado'.  I opened the door and listened.  It's just after dark, so I listened.  The last one came past here 2 years ago, just a quarter mile behind our house.  It got several businesses, numerous houses, and a church.

Ever thought about moving to Water Cay? 

Why?  I live there 2.5 months of the year now, sometimes longer.  I wouldn't want to be there during the late summer or fall.  And I enjoy Christmas with family.  No, this is the best way, early summer and after Christmas.

Well I hope you have an internet connection down there.  I would hate for you to disappear altogether for 2.5 months.  Although I would certainly understand if you spent the majority of your time NOT online while your there.

I have a modem, but it is terribly slow.  I can't upload pics, but I'll stay in communication.  I did last Dec-Jan while there, on TS.  Here's an old pic I took and posted after I returned.  I'll put it on the next post (below).

After all that mess we had last weekend, I think everyone is going to be nervous with any bad weather coming through. Glad you and yours are OK chech.

This is one of the Italian girls on the island.  We were having a Bowl Party when Bama won.  This was during the 4th quarter: 49-0 at the time.  We were in hammocks watching the game.

Here's some before/right now

There is no photo of the lake, the first thing I did was dig an access spot to the drain to see if it was working, sure enough, about 2" down the soil was dry.   Once I got down there it all drained out very quickly.  Now I will install a T and stick up and fill the hole the with gravel.  Then some day I will practice grate installation on it. 

Just thinking out loud here, but couldn't you just fill the sump hole with gravel and then a couple inches of normal top soil that drains well?  Then you wouldn't need a grate in the middle of your yard.  You might have to make the sump hole a little bigger to get enough flow.  Once the grass grows back it would be an invisible grate (patent pending).

That's what I did, but I ran some pipe up too.  It's a mess back there.  Standby for photos.
