I requested brief damage assessment and rec'd this:

Not in Ft Payne, just power outage for several more days. If you post at CRS, pass that along. Rainsville has some damage, Waffle House and Community Credit Union bldgs are gone. Approx 30+ dead in DeKalb County, mostly from those two bldgs.

So power outage is probably the issue SC is dealing with. Again  Pray

The Yellowbook guy finally got back to me today. He got hit by the storms and is behind in getting up the quote. He asked to give him a couple days more, which, of course, I said yes.

We now sell and install hillside storm shelters.  Editing the web-page right now.   I dont think we need to take any action at this time unless you think Burl would be able to update the ad.  We're going to print a few fliers and post on craigslist.  Do you have any other ideas?
The guy who came up with the installing storm bunkers idea must be really smart. Oh, that's right. Cool

Combination effort.  The girl here actually did most of the work.  SC provided the knowhow and trouble shooting and got it all set up, etc.

The reason I was asking is that whoever has the development knowledge probably also knows that search engines, Google in particular, bumps up sites that use terminology wisely, to the 1st page and even to the top of the 1st page. Some web sites try to use key words repetitively to get that bump. Truth is, Google doesn't like it. I think somewhere in the web site you might bold "storm cellars", one time, and maybe mention one time in the descriptive. I think "storm cellars" is what most people will Google. You HAVE to be on the 1st page or you're really not on there at all.

Yea that makes sense, I dont know crap about that.  SC does, we were going to add google analytics so we could do that stuff but havent yet.

I will tell the girl to make sure she puts storm cellar on the first page, I dont know if she did anything with it yet or not.

Maybe I forgot to mention, but we dont have to sell the cellar to install it.  She's going to refer us to the customer.  The lazy backhoe driver she was referring earlier on the phone was her husband (we got a good chuckle out of that), the owner, who'd rather not install them as he also does a million other things as you can imagine. They also have to take two trucks to do an install, so they'd rather us do it.

Also, many people complain about leaking, as a geologist, I can make sure they are installed above water with drainage, etc.

Hope it works out.  Could be a good setup.

That's terrific. I've prayed that this business really takes off, then the tornados hit, creating enormous opportunities. Not exactly what I had in mind, not at the expense of so many people. It's like a bad episide of "The Twilight Zone". But at least it's doing good for those that want to take advantage your expertise.
