Mark Ingram on CNN NOW.

If I turned on the TV right now I would probably get hit by whatever is closest to the girl and throw-able.

They did a quick piece on the NFL draft, saying "The emotions of realizing their dream can be overwhelming", then they showed that interview with MI when he was asked if he wanted to send his Dad a message on air.  MI started crying.  They explained the situation and stated that MI is a fine young man, etc.

That is a shame. Doing that to HTWMI. CNN is shameless. Angry

It was the interview that ESPN did during the draft.  MI handled it pretty well, but broke down.  Amazing to me that (during the live broadcast), right after that crying episode MI turned around and was grabbed by another interviewer who directed him to another camera, and he started another interview; right then, 10 seconds after crying.  Lots of emotions for him, but he seemed able to handle it all.

You know, thinking more about the pool for the shelter location.

It's already dug, it's ugly, it's below ground but above the water table, it has steps going down in it, and it drains well (water never increases or decreases).  So what if I fill it with gravel to above the static water line and then set the shelter in there and fill in around it and on -top?  I think that may be the best option.

Sounds good.  Pluses:

1. GF can jump right in if she's working the garden when you yell, "Storm";
2. The hole is ugly, and will look like an old pool even if decorated with plants;
3. It's close to the house;
4. Chicks dig pools.

Minuses:
1. Are you positive about the water level never changing?  Rising water could push your safe pacle right up out of the ground;
2. You'll have to go out into the night to get into it (but the other options are limited.

Dang.  58 here now.  You may have to move west.  Smitty has a rental room where his pool used to be.

Yes.  I extrapolated the level down to the standing water in the ROW.  I have since fixed the row so it drains better and that is most certainly the static water level.

The pool has been like that since I moved in and has never changed.

However, I am not thinking I will cut it close and probably have at least 2 feet between the water table and the bottom of the shelter.

Do it (but only after telling the GF and listening to her rhetorical answer).

The girl is a scientist too and unlike a typical "gf".  She will probably be a fan of that decision.  I'll let you know.
