Good morning.  Coffee

My eyes were dilated by the doc yesterday, so I had blurry vision until late afternoon.  I went for a walk to bird watch, but couldn't see well, except through my binoculars.  Further, gray and white objects appeared slightly blue.  So I saw a lot of bluebirds that turned into Toyotas, etc. 

By late afternoon my vision was fine, and I enjoyed watching a hummingbird at our feeder.  Also saw tanagers, warblers, thrushes, etc that recently arrived after migration.  Good day.

Well Mrs Dottie is still sore but better. We just pray all our Bama family is getting better. It seems so sad that all of us are having problems but we know there is a better day coming. Glad to see CNO preparing for the season as well as he is. RTR!

Just like retirement has always been; every day is Saturday.  Today, Friday is just another Saturday.

But our resident groundhog, Mr. 2, emerges from his quarantine today.  Can't wait to hear the gory details of eyeballs and scalpel.

Took bird pics yesterday.  Lots of the migratory birds have arrived for the summer.  And the resident birds are singing and nesting.  Fun days outside in the warmth.


This Cardinal was fluffed and snobbish after singing to his mate.

Good morning folks.  I'm taking a day of vacation today.  I'm supposed to get 6 dump truck loads of chert delivered. I have borrowed my brother's tractor to spread it.  Will probably be an all day effort.  Hope 2 is doing good.  Maybe we will have a sighting of him soon.

Thanks for the well wishes guys and the humor. I spewed Diet Coke with the bacon masks.  Laughing

The laser surgery went well. I have a follow up Monday morning to see just how well. The doctor showed me pics of my eye and you could clearly see two tears in the retina. The laser surgery lasted about 5 minutes and I only felt a very slight sting. Hardly noticeable.
 
He explained that when you have a retina tear, that water can eventually form in the viscous fluid and enter the tears, going underneath the retina and detach it. If that happens, then it's surgery with the knife. The laser surgery encapsulates only the viscous fluid around the retina so water can't get in. Let's hope it was a success.

Unfortunately, it does nothing to rid of the floaters, but he did say they will dissipate over time, likely months.

Anyway, it's good to be back and it's doubly good to be able to read again.
