Good Saturday morning!

Got an early tee time this morning. I ate ice cream last night and, as it sometimes does, it disagreed with me. Didn’t get much sleep, so it should be interesting.

I have the same stomach, 2.  Best advice is to eat ice cream at midday only.  I had to change my ways years ago.

Good morning.  I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.

2, I hit the course yesterday afternoon and am going back again this morning.   Soon it will be so hot that I don't enjoy it, so I'm trying to get it in now.  This will be the first time I've played back-to-back days in a while.  Hopefully my back will handle it.

Good luck, HL. I hear ya about the back. I'm at the age now, where I feel it after every round. Today will be the first of 3 in a row. Stocked up on 'Icy Hot'.

Good morning folks.  Yesterday was golfball free for me.  I did take the boys fishing again though.  We went fishing off of a friend's boathouse on Lake Guntersville.  Our primary target fish was catfish.  The youngest only wanted to throw a bass lure but he only wound up catching a few small crappie.    Runt only caught several bream and one small crappie.  Our friend (and host) stood there throwing a small crappie jig and did catch several, some of which were good eating size.  I was trying to use three of my beach fishing poles baited with worms.  I managed to catch 6 nice catfish, both flathead and blue catfish.  The largest of those was the last one and it weighed just under 10 pounds.  On the first catch I also noticed that a fresh-water clam had closed on my line and it came in with the fish. (that was a first-time catch for me).  Over the course of this fishing trip I caught the catfish, two Drum, one Shad, and two or three crappie, plus the clam. Lots of fun.

Doc, I hope you and 2 enjoy golfball today and that your backs don't make you pay the price.  

Runt and I are going over to my friend's house this morning to help him saw up the four white oak logs into lumber. I'm sure my back will be screaming at me tonight...

Glad y'all had a good fishing experience, NALT. I had a good morning golfballing. I was playing by myself and the first off the tee this morning. Since I had no one to slow me down, I played 27 holes. I shot an 82 for the 18 and then shot 36 for the final nine. I hope that will carry over tomorrow when I play with the group.

Thanks for the fishing report, NALT. Don’t complain about clams. I’ve eaten clams myself.

Since I had no one to slow me down, I played 27 holes. I shot an 82 for the 18 and then shot 36 for the final nine. I hope that will carry over tomorrow when I play with the group.

  gosh I hate to get so upset but I go out to crank my truck and the battery is dead. I take the battery off and get my back to hurting and put it in the car. I can take it to NAPA and get another batter and the battery on my car is dead. What a day. If notinhg else would ya'll pray for us. RTR!

Saturday was again a beautiful spring day, albeit almost hot!  YAY!  Today will be nice too, but tonight the rain returns.

Preacher, hate to hear your back hurts again.  Batteries are heavy.  Can't you get some help out there?  Maybe NAPA would deliver a battery.  I know they install them free here; maybe there too.

Great round(s) of golfballing, 2.  Can't remember when I shot an 82.  Been at least 10 years!   

Y'all enjoy it.  NALT, when's the fish fry??
