I'm afraid I'm in full island mode now.  I spent part of yesterday preparing fishing gear, changing line on reels, making trolling rigs, and working down a list of items to pack.  "Island Girl" seemed like the face for the day.  I'm out of pics to share of the Italians.  The rest of the pics are them in swimsuits, so unless they relax the BDS dress code, you won't see them.

LoL, I was referring to general concrete wall pouring discussion.  I am thinking about getting a mixer.

Darn.  Man, you give me a cup of coffee and suggest a riddle, I'm all over it.
I've poured driveways, helped pave a rural, mountain road with a hand mixer in Costa Rica, bricked a few pacles, but never poured a wall.  One thingy for sure; walls need either a buttress or appropriate angles.  Googled?

You'd be mixing for a week with the portable mixer. Truck pour job so it all dries together for better integrity.

You can certainly rent a mixer.  My only experience with one was in Costa Rica.  Easy to use and handy to keep the mixing going.  BUT, concrete demands that you keep up with it.  By yourself it's a task.  You must have all forms ready before you first add water.

The 3-point ones hold 9 cu ft.  That's not too bad. 

You're right though, I was looking at the cheapo home depot one, and I would have to have a truck for a wall anyway.

We have a huge wall of showers just pounding Tennessee (north of us).  It'll slide south today.

His speech last night had a line that I noticed ("years of intelligence"), plus he said he called President Bush to discuss.  Sounded like it was a continuation of intelligence and a breakthrough during August.

Fox is asking why Seals didn't kill or capture everyone in the compound.  My thought was, anyone left behind would be blamed for Bin Laden's death (i.e., they're all dead anyhow).  Plus, Seals had to cram everyone and the body into one chopper.
