OK 2stater go out today and shoot a 60. That'll make the storm sit up and take notice. RTR!

So, what should I shoot on the back nine, Preacher?

16 years ago today, hurricane Ivan slammed into Pensacola. I was there. It was horrible. Currently, Pensacola is in the eye wall of cat 2 hurricane Sally. I just talked to my youngest daughter and she said it's horrible: howling winds, the sound of trees snapping, and around 20 inches of rain so far. She said Breddy is ok, but I haven't heard from my oldest yet.

Jim Cantore is in downtown Pensacola. Most of the downtown area is under water from the storm surge. It's definitely a bad one.

Prayers out for everyone getting hit by this devastating storm.

This storm is a bad one. It caught the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast off guard. Sally was expected to hit the Louisiana/Mississippi Coast as a tropical storm. It turned and hit Gulf Shores as a Cat 2 hurricane. Gulf Shores is currently in the calm of the eye. The main damage is to the east of Orange Beach and Pensacola. My daughter lives in Mobile. Since they are to the west of the eye it is not too bad. She is saying light steady rain and wind. She has lost power. 95% of Baldwin County is without power.

I started a one week vacation today. The plan was to go to Mobile tomorrow for one night and over to Orange Beach on Friday. We are just waiting seeing what happens now before we change any plans.

To all in sally's path stay safe.

I did hear from my oldest daughter, and she is ok. All 3 are in the clear now. Doesn't appear to be any structural damage to any of the houses, but my oldest daughter's fence is down and my youngest daughter's yard is full of tree limbs and debris. I was told that the mail box at my house uprooted and floated down the street. If that's the only damage, I can live with that. Just glad all my kids and grandson are safe.

Pmull, I hope everything went well with your daughter.

Thanks for all the well wishes, guys.

My daughter is fine. The rain has slowed and will stop soon. Still windy and she has no power. She teaches at Saraland Elementary. They have closed school for the rest of the week.

We cancelled our trip to Orange Beach. I am going to be off work the rest of this week and go back on Monday. We will reschedule a beach trip for some time in October.

Glad to hear your daughter is ok, pmull. As much damage as there is down there from the hurricane, I'm not hearing anything about casualties. That would be a pleasant miracle.

As I post this, TWC just said in Orange Beach, there was one death and one missing.

My daughter's power came back on in the middle of the night. Since school is out and our beach trip got postponed she is coming home today for a long weekend.

It is beautiful here and no rain in the forecast.

It started raining yesterday and it has rained all night and through this morning. It gonna be wet and you can hear the grass growing. It is really good to hear the safety reports praise the Lord. RTR!

It's rained here all day and is still raining. Supposed to clear up tonight and turn cool over the weekend. The highs will be in the 60s and the lows in the 40s.

2, did you get to watch any of JT's round today?   US Open record for a round at Winged Foot, but they're a whole lot of guys playing well this week.   I got to see JT and Tigers back 9 at least (they were grouped together).

I did not, HL. I got to watch some of the afternoon rounds. I was pleasantly surprised to see JT's score. He's never done well in the first round of a US Open. Maybe this is his year.
