I'm gonna butt in & tell ya that I took $118 playing golf today. Tough course. I was actually 2 under par after 4 holes. Jerry Lewised 4 holes that cost me a great round, but it felt good kicking the other 3's azzes. Playing those mountain courses in the Upstate of SC have paid off.
Great pics on the birds Chech. WV, great idea starting an in-race thread for the Kentucky Derby. It's been a good day. As Ricky says RTR!
I always had difficulty judging distances (club selection) when switching from hilly courses to relatively flat, or vice versa.

You and everyone else.  It's experience at that course you need.  I hate seeing a course for the first time and having to guess.

I can judge distances ok either way, but you really learn how to hit uphill, downhill & sidehill lies on hilly course which make flat courses easier to play. Here ya go Chech & WV................

Ok,so first, one of my sisters is/was a marine biologist (now she's a mom), anyway, she had a gopher turtle project at a landfill in florida.  They relocated turtles constantly.  Eventually they decided to start marking the turtles, to see if they were coming back.  SUre enough, they were.  They had several gopher turtles that were travelling several miles to get back to the landfill.

So I share this story with a guy that I work with a couple of years ago.  We are working down at an air force base that has several endagered species around there.  So goofball catches some endangered turtle and writes his name on it and lets it go back in the woods.  Well, obviously these are tracked and we had some explaining to do.  Luckily, the guy is one of those heart of gold but mild IQ individuals and gets a lot of passes on bonehead moves like that.

3rd story, Working at aberdeen I used to move the same turtle out of the road about every two or 3 days.  He was a crackhead.

When we moved into our P'cola home 6 years ago, we had a turtle living under our deck. We've ripped up the old deck and expanded it and thought he was gone. He apparently found a new home, possibly under our new deck and roams our neighborhood which is on a cul de sac. Neighbors will find him in the road and put him in our yard. He has no fear.
