Heavy rain here now.  TV comes and goes.  Lots of thunder, but lightning is not so close now.

Tiring of jumping to PMs, so:

Air conditioners require big generators, which are noisy.  Island resorts with ac also have LOUD diesel generators.  It's a tradeoff.  Usually small islands like this one are breezy all day and night, so it's pleasant.  

And everyone with hair has windblown hair.  Lady says I look like a convict today.  Got my island haircut yesterday.

So, no power at all?  Fans?  Gotta go for real now.

When do you leave?

Guess I fell asleep, SC. 
I leave Saturday.  I can't ship the luggage without a hassle.  It will end up in Customs, and it might take a month to get it out.
You can read this when you wake up. 

Right, I didn't think about that.  I've only done this trick on domestic flights.

I used to work in the Bahamas, and we had to ship lots of equipment.  You can guess what it took to get it out of Customs there. 

I have only heard rumors about Belize, so I always carry everything with me.  I just heard about an incident last month; a group of businessmen had a meeting in Belize.  They shipped $5,000 worth of wine for the meeting.  It ruined in the heat while sitting in Customs; corks leaked, etc.  Don't you just hate when that happens!

Here we have tornadoes and nasty stuff again.  We lost power for an hour.  Time to migrate south.

We've got barrels of rain, the street downhill from us is flooded, and the sirens are blasting (not as scary this time - wonder why?).
