"Given all that, it's refreshing (sorry) to hear the latest news out of Morgantown, Wva., where West Virginia has decided to allow the sale of beer at Mountaineers sporting events, including football and basketball games."

Maybe he's gone to purchase a permit to sale beer at Saturdays games.

Can you imagine night games in the SEC if beer was sold.

In my younger days I picked my dates for football games by who had the biggest purse.

Never beer. Normally a pint of cheap whiskey. The coke boy always knew where I was sitting.

One of the greatest experiences I ever had was going to the Ala vs Tn game, I think in 1989, in a stretch limo provided by one of our vendors from where I worked at the time. It had a fully loaded bar and by the time we got to the game, we were snockered. Siran Stacy ran wild that day and Bama won something like 47-30.

It's like that here in P'cola as well. It's rained twice since I came home for good around March 22 for a total of maybe 2 or 3 inches. It clouded up yesterday afternoon and I heard thunder for a while, but it never reached here.
