I'll have to ask my buddy for a "mess" translation.  They probably never catch enough up here to qualify as a mess.  We're after walleye; hope I don't hook his Kyle-eye.

"Mess" is used mainly for catfish. You rarely hear someone from the South say they caught a "bunch" of catfish. It's usually a "mess" of catfish. Let me know how walleye tastes. I don't think I've ever had it.
